In 2016 and 2017, Specialised Kiteboarding have been the local organisers of the Hydrofoil Pro Tour stop in Mauritius.
Unfortunately, for various reasons, we will not be having a stop here this year. We will be back in 2019 though, so stay posted!
As an alternative, for those foilers out there very keen to come discover our magical spot, we have organised a full week of advanced foil coaching!
The plan is to set a course, over 4 days, so that riders can train with other foilers in race conditions.
We will be having short theoretical clinics before each session. after the racing, we will debrief on what was achieved.
We want you to go back with new skills so that you are better prepared for your next event or simply to beat your foil sparring partner back home ;)
Additionally to the 4 days of racing/coaching, we will do 2 days of long distance foiling, so that you can discover the massive lagoon that we have available here.
We have many accommodations options to suit all budgets. Visit our "Accommodation" section to see some of those we recommend. There are many others to choose from on Airbnb for example.
We have only 8 available spots as we want to keep it small enough to be personal.
We encourage you to bring the wife and kids with you as the beach is very family friendly.
Typical wind strength to expect during this period is 10 to 20 knots. Ideal kite quiver is 11m till 17m.
Sea is around 24 degrees so a 3/2 shorty is normally more than enough although something a bit warmer can't hurt.
